    POLYGONUM CUSPIDATUM (POLYGONUM CUSPIDATUM) is also known as acid barrel rod, acid barrel reed, big bone, and spot Zhuang root. It is the dried rhizome and root of Polygonum cuspidatum. Produced in southern Shaanxi, southern Gansu, East China, central China, southern China and other places. Free anthraquinone and anthraquinone glycosides were found in roots and rhizomes. The main ones were emodin, emodin methyl ether and chrysophanol, as well as anthraside A and anthraside B. The root also contains 3,4 ', 5-trihydroxy-3-β-D-glucoside polydatin.


    Resveratrol, a multiclass phytoalexin, is a natural plant antibiotic. When plants are subjected to environmental stress, fungal and bacterial infections, they produce antitoxins to fight against outside attacks, and resveratrol is one of them. It exists in two geometric isomers: [Cis] and [trans]. Trans resveratrol is considered to be more stable and more active. In nature, resveratrol is very small in natural plants, and it is unstable and easy to decompose, so basically we generally say that resveratrol refers to trans-resveratrol.
