Nervonic Acid was fed to rats for 90 days
In this study, the body weight and total food intake of the 0.6g/kg group were not significantly different from those of the control group. At 90 days, the 0.36g/kg and 0.6g/kg dose groups decreased AST and ALT, and increased TC and blood glucose to varying degrees. The changes of these indexes were in a dose-dependent manner. The teratogenic test showed that the 0.6g/kg NA group could significantly increase the number of late fetal death, absorption fetal death and early fetal death, and reduce the embryo survival rate of the animals. It is speculated that it may have some influence on early pregnancy.
In conclusion, through research and comprehensive related literature reports, long-term and high-dose administration of neural acid may affect leukemia, red blood cells, hemoglobin, blood lipids, and blood glucose.
