what is Chaga Beta Glucan?
Chaga glucan refers specifically to a high molecular weight polysaccharide with β-(1,3/1,6)-D-glucan as the main chain extracted from the fruiting body or sclerotium of Chaga. It is one of the core active ingredients of Chaga that exert its medicinal effects, accounting for 10%-30% of its dry weight, with a molecular weight between 10 kDa-200 kDa, soluble in hot water, slightly soluble in cold water, neutral to weakly acidic, and has a certain tolerance to acid, alkali, and high temperature.

What is Chaga Beta Glucan benefits for?
Immune activation
By binding to the Dectin-1 receptor on the cell surface, Chaga β-glucan can activate the NF-κB signaling pathway, stimulate the secretion of cytokines such as IL-1β and TNF-α, and enhance nonspecific immunity.
Regulate blood sugar
Polysaccharides form solid gels in the stomach, delay the absorption of carbon dioxide and water, and synergistically reduce fasting and postprandial blood sugar by promoting insulin sensitivity and pancreatic β-cell repair.
Antioxidant and anti-aging
Polysaccharides themselves can scavenge free radicals O₂−·, ·OH; at the same time, they can significantly increase the activity of SOD and GSH-Px in the body and reduce the level of malondialdehyde (MDA). Its SOD activity is 55 times higher than that of Ganoderma lucidum. Long-term use can increase skin elasticity and delay photoaging.
Anti-tumor support
Bhaga β-glucan has inhibitory effects on breast cancer, cancer, and melanoma cell lines through multiple pathways, such as activation of NK cells, induction of apoptosis (downregulation of Bcl-2 expression, upregulation of Bax expression), and inhibition of tumor angiogenesis (downregulation of VEGF expression).

How to take Chaga beta Glucan?
Traditional tea brewing
Break 3-5 grams into small pieces, put them into a thermos, simmer in hot water at about 70℃ for 15 minutes, the color is like light cocoa, and you can add water 2-3 times. A pot of this every day is equivalent to a gentle "forest bath" for the body.
Modern powder or capsule
If you don't want to make tea, buy finished powder or capsules. Look at the packaging label: chaga β-glucan content ≥50%, 0.5 grams a day is enough; if you have a cold recently or are undergoing chemotherapy, you can add 1-2 grams, swallow it with meals twice, and your stomach will feel more comfortable.
Mixed eating method
Some people put it in capsules with chaga beta glucan and wolfberry; some people add it to oatmeal porridge in the morning, a bowl of black, full and refreshing.
Small folk remedy for external use
Add 5% polysaccharide powder to pure water, put it in a small spray bottle, spray it on your face after sun exposure, and the dry and itchy feeling will be significantly reduced-this is a method passed down by forest rangers in Northeast China.
